I read this in 1989, and I've been meaning to read it again. Now that the movie's about to come out, I pulled it off my shelf . What a treat; it's so beautifully written!

What I Have Read Recently

Part one of a trilogy about the 20th century. Everything you ever learned (or should have) about WWI, the Russian Revolution, workers' rights, women's rights, etc., woven together in a delicious novel.















No chickens yet!
But not much longer.
I love it! And I love the idea. I can’t wait to try.
I had an hour at a bookstore later this afternoon, and I pulled out about 30 books, then took a picture of a four-spine poem. I had fully intended to put all the books back afterward, but I ran out of time and had to sneak out. I will be visiting a lot of different branches of this bookstore in April…
